Hi! I am Sneha Midha Sharma; an international yoga teacher, a seeker, a disciple and a yogi voyaging the progressive trails of yoga for the fulfilment of the purpose of my soul. You will find in me the humility of the small town I was raised in (Ranchi), and the swank of the big city (Dublin) where I share my life with my husband Gaurav.
I have no qualms in proudly proclaiming that it was my husband’s bent towards all things spritual and yogic that inspired me to ditch the high life as FTE at two big 4s & a successful modelling career to travel the path of yoga. Yes, believe it or not, yoga is a journey, right back our source. However, the practical aspects of yoga asanas is an inheritance from my father whose dedicated yoga sadhna I grew up observing. My mother’s legacy to me is the values of love and kindness that enables me to uphold the tenets of paramguru swami shivanada; serve, love and give. I guess it is needless to say that these three are the pillars of my yogic life.
However, my awakening to the eternal width and depth of yoga, as a science, as a philosophy and a lifestyle can only be attributed to my guru Swami Niranjananda Saraswati, the spiritual head of Bihar School of Yoga. The life-changing experience of the yogic lifestyle in its entirety and not just body movements transfomed me from a formal education/ certificate seeking student to an aspirant. Thereafter, the ardour of this aspiration took me to Shivananda Ashram where I was introduced to another level of yogic practices.
To sum up my yogic journey so far, I began my teaching career in 2015 with dynamic hatha yoga, breathing techniques, meditation and the trademark pratyahara practice of bihar yoga called “yoga nidra”. This was followed by my stint at the well known fitness platforms in India which involved dynamic vinyasa power flow, core work and alignments followed by spear heading the yoga teachers training and team set ups for start ups in India. It is now my aim to accumulate the experience of all these years and teach yoga in its truest essence of which asanas are a small part.
Here are some of my beliefs and values:
Wellbeing: one size fits none.
Yoga is for every body and everybody.
Growth blooms from unlearning.
Rewrite your story, no matter the chapter.
Dark days teach the brightest lessons.
Embrace interconnectedness and expand your compassion to all living beings and all of nature
